GATE ENTRANCE EXAM

Before applying for the GATE exam application form, a candidate must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria.

The Eligibility Criteria for the GATE exam are as follows:

(A) You must have completed your undergraduate degree program from any of the AICTE approved colleges in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce and Arts courses.

(B) Also, students in 3rd or higher years of the exams are eligible for appearing in the GATE exam.

(C) You are also expected to appear in papers appropriate to the discipline of your qualifying degree.

(D) All students must learn about the paper code of their choice as this would be an essential information required to successfully complete the application form.

GATE is a computer based test conducted in more than 27 subjects.

An Individual candidate is allowed to appear in any 1 or upto 2 papers of the GATE examination.

Each subject paper is of total 100 marks.

General Aptitude section of 15 marks is common for all papers and the rest 85 marks for the respective subject papers.
